Returning from the Christmas break and the January exam period, it was time to crack on with our micro-mouse. I designed and built the white-line sensors which were then integrated on our design and in the code. Once we had done that, it was time to calibrate the sensors. This was achieved by measuring the voltage across the LDR using the ports on the raspberry pi pico while utilizing the Arduino software’s ability to use a serial monitor to record analog read values. We then set threshold values for black and white in order for the mouse to distinguish between the two and make decisions based off what was being read by each sensor. Significant improvement was also made to the website, I added buttons to the documentation page to improve the user interface for any visitors. During the month of March, I hope we near completion of the mouse as Gregynog is only around the corner.
