During October, we got assigned to teams. We met our team members and got introduced to the project ahead of us. The first thing we did as Team Alpha is setting up a Teams page for us to use. We then set up a few channels and, most important, a team planner to know what jobs are finished as well as what needs to be finished. We added all our deliverables as well as deadlines, so we wouldn’t miss a assignment. We then put together a Team Contract, to hold ourselves accountable to deliver our part in the project.

Then started the actual project, by assembling the IR detector circuit on a bread board. Once we gathered all the necessary components, we assembled the circuit provided on the bread board. After a bit of troubleshooting, we got it working, successfully triggering a led diode when getting close to the sensor. We adjusted the distance by changing a resistor, then showed the circuit to Mr. Moody to get it assessed.
