Modou’s March Blog

in March, our shell was 3d printed. On first impression the shell is what we intended it to be. But looking at the structure of the shell, is too fragile for us to drill any holes. And when the top of the shell is cut open, it has to be sanded down. So, the lid doesn’t fit properly on it. The diameter of the shell needed to be increased because the micromuse didn’t fit due to some of the components protruding. I made some modifications to the shell design, I cut out holes for the LEDs and sensors. Then I increased the diameter of the shell and made the top of the shell open-ended. I create a lid for the shell as a separate part. After these modifications, the shell is sent to be 3d printed again.
