Williams reflective blog post:
It’s the differences that make us stronger:
In our microhouse engineering team, we’ve learned a lot from each other’s different backgrounds. We found that when we all bring our own ideas, we come up with better ways to solve problems. We have a rule that says everyone should be included and treated fairly, and this has helped us a lot.
Everybody got a vote:
We make sure that everyone gets a chance to speak up. This is good because sometimes the best ideas come from places you don’t expect. EDI has created a space where every voice finds a listener. We’ve learned to communicate beyond the surface level, recognizing the unique background each person brings to the table. This wasn’t merely about being polite, it was more about genuinely understanding each other’s viewpoints,
Learning from each other:
We all have different stories and experiences. When we share them, we all learn something new. This makes our work better because we think about people who are different from us.
Looking at thing in different perspective:
Our team tries to think about everyone who might use what we build. This is important because we want our work to be good for all kinds of people.
Overall, working with diversity in our team has been great. It helps us do our best and come up with creative ideas.
