In the group stage, we had a flying start, securing a dominant win against Team Bravo. Building on this momentum, we secured two more victories against Teams Lima and Alpha. Our first setback came against Team Golf, where we lost points due to our micromouse spinning excessively. However, we quickly addressed the issue with some code adjustments and reentered the tournament. We finished strong with our final match against Team Juliet, returning to form and securing our fourth win. Overall, it was an excellent showing from our micromouse, finishing the group stage with a record of 4 wins and 1 loss.
After a dominant performance in the group stage, we entered the quarterfinals full of confidence. Our opponent, Team Foxtrot, finished third in their league, a team not to be underestimated. In the first round, both micromouse started strong, but Foxtrot’s micromouse began to falter, running out of the ring and giving us the round. This trend continued in the second and third rounds, giving us a statement win.
In the semifinals, we faced our old rival Golf, seeking revenge for our only loss in the tournament. Golf had been undefeated so far, posing a significant challenge. The first two rounds were intense, with both micromouses fighting fiercely. Despite our efforts, Golf took the lead with two rounds. After a brief break and some adjustments to our code, we came back stronger in the third round, securing a crucial win. In the fourth round, our micromouse’s superior speed and strength came into full effect, knocking out Golf’s micromouse. The final round was intense, but we emerged victorious completing a remarkable comeback, winning 3-2. It was an truly inspiring performance.
In the final we faced Echo, 7 months of blood, sweat, and tears, all for this moment. In the first round, both micromouses showed why they made it this far. As the round went on, it became apparent that our micromouse was too strong for them. They were bullied all over the ring, but Echo’s micromouse simply refused to get knocked out. We expected nothing less from a finalist. At the end of the round, we went to the judges for a decision, and the round was given to Charlie. Unfortunately for Echo, the story did not change in the second and third rounds. We dominated both, and the judges awarded the rounds to Charlie. This sees us crowned champions. A valiant effort from Echo for taking us to the judges for all three rounds.
