Our micro mouse group was very diverse with team members from all around the globe, William from Norway, Abthy coming from Saudi Arabia and myself living in the Netherlands for a while. This level of diversity definitely helped our team a lot. Furthermore, we made sure that everyone was included, and this allowed us to work effectively together. This was done by setting tasks for each person and giving deadlines. It was also often checked weather or not the task would be completed on time or if unseen problems occurred and then the deadline was changed accordingly. On top of this we also tried to make sure that everyone worked equally and that everyone was seen as equal when it came to putting in work and helping with this project. Over the last few months of this module, I now have been able to further develop my understand of how important EDI is for a team to fully function to the best of their abilities. This is because, as the IET says, everyone should be treated equally and with dignity, integrity and respect regardless of their background. I can first hand say that by doing this, it creates a much better, professional, working environment resulting in a more productive and hardworking team.
