We have made a plan to reuse and recycle our MicroMouse parts after the project is over to help the environment and cut down on electrical waste. Here’s a list of how each part will be managed:
• Raspberry Pi Pico:
The Raspberry Pi Pico will be used again in robots or embedded systems projects in the future. This microcontroller can be programmed and lasts a long time. It can also be used for more than one thing, which makes it perfect for long-term use in many experiments.
• IR Circuit and PCB:
Both the custom PCB and the IR sensor circuit were made to be flexible, so they can be used in other MicroMouse builds or sensor-based apps. The board can easily be used for academic displays or student training if it stays in good shape.
• Ultrasonic Sensor:
This special feature component is also reusable. It can be disconnected without damage and used in future obstacle-detection or automation projects.
• Mechanical Components:
Parts that can be used again, like the wheels, layer support pillars, screws, and wiring, will be taken apart and saved so they can be used in new designs. These parts don’t break after just one use, and they can keep working in different design processes.
This recycling plan enables us to promote responsible engineering practices, reduce our environmental impact, and extend the life cycle of our materials.
