This month we made a start on constructing and implementing the white line sensors. This involved using an LED and LDR to detect whether the sensor is reflecting on a white or black surface. As soon as the sensor detected the white it would turn away from it. This was represented as a high value (e.g. 400) when on the black and a low value (e.g. 100 – 200) when on the white. We encountered a couple issues when making the sensors, most of which were caused by cold solders which needed to be redone.
