Our team was formed of people with different socioeconomic backgrounds and ways of thinking that helped drive the process of the micromouse, since we all had different outlooks on a problem and sought to find the most effective solution. By creating an environment where all voices were considered, we uncovered blind spots in our micromouse challenges effectively.

We were able to solve these issues efficiently.

Our project highlighted that pursuing diversity is not just an equity checkbox, but a vital means of producing innovative, socially-conscious engineering. When we intentionally cultivate diverse teams, we expand our collective problem-solving capabilities.
