Sustainability – Oliver Fish

Many features of our design allow for sustainability. The ultrasonics require no additional circuitry, and can be unsoldered and recycled far more easily than the IR sensors. The touch bars were attached with shrink wrap allowing for them to be recycled as well. The PCB itself cant be recycled but the components can be reused if unsoldered. The Pico W was chosen for the remote control feature because it required no additional chips and so was more sustainable. The Pico W used in the controller as well as the joystick can be unsolderd and reused. Dupont cables were used to connect the screens so they can easily be reused later.
