This month has consisted of constructing the micro-mouse and making sure it can avoid obstacles. The PCB design was printed out and holes were made in it so the components could be soldered to it.
I gathered all components from the list and completed the soldering. Due to some copper lines in the PCB design being quite close, I had to make sure the solder didn’t cross over. The next step was to construct the micro-mouse and then get tested for obstacle avoidance.
I have completed all experiments and have been marked for them, there were no issues with these. However there was an issue with the IR sensor due to wires being stripped too long and they were touching, this lead to shorting and one of the sensors stopped working.
Overall this has been a productive month and our team has made great progress. We have also made a start on the special feature.
