From the Statement of Ethical Principles issued by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Engineering council, there are 4 main areas that need to be carefully followed, here are the principles alongside how I will commit to them to the best of my ability:

Honesty and integrity: I will ensure that all work provided will be our teams own and not take part in any corrupt practices or professional misconduct. I will not subvert to outside influences with ill intentions and will respect all individuals in all aspects of their work.

Respect for life, law, the environment and public good: I will ensure that all work carried out obeys the law, is carried out with the utmost safety for every party involved and will be of as great a benefit for this and future generations as well as taking steps to ensure minimised environmental impact.

Accuracy and rigor: I will ensure all my knowledge and skills both new and old are as up to date as they can be and use these skills to identify and minimise risks, work with others in a clear and honest manner and present my theory and workings to the most honest and best of my abilities.

Leadership and communication: I will keep up to date with issues and concerns in regards to engineering technology in society and ensure public knowledge of the benefit of my work is promoted in a proper manner. I will be completely truthful and utterly objective in all manners of my work and challenge any official policies that appear to be unethical.

Finally I will share a link below of a pdf report by the royal academy of engineering that goes over these principles in more detail, why I am specifically sharing this document however is because it shares statistics by engineers regarding their opinions and feelings about ethical principles and steps that have been and can be taken to improve this.
