My view on ethics of autonomous vehicles when faced with concerns on whistleblowing. If the design and production of the micro-mouse is faced with fatal flaws of endangering people’s lives, our responsibilities are guided by the IET rules of conduct which emphasizes the importance of whistleblowing. The IET advocates for ethical conduct within the engineering field. Each team member bears the responsibility for their professional and personal choices. It’s essential for the team to navigate conflicting interests, including those of employers , society , and environment, striving to uphold the highest ethical standards. Whistleblowing entails a protected disclosure where a team member raises concerns regarding danger, risk, misconduct, or ethical behavior.
