After reading the statement of ethical principles that was created jointly by the Royal Academy of Engineering and the Engineering Council. As an engineering student, I have a deeper understanding of these ethical principles. I recognize its importance, and I will strictly abide by the code of conduct.
The first basic principle: Honesty and integrity. I understand that it is essential for engineering professionals to hold themselves to high standards, such as openness, fairness, honesty and integrity. Only by ensuring our own reliability that we can have adequate safety and quality assurance. So I strictly require myself to contribute to the team. And we should also respect others and abide by our own principles.

As engineering professionals, we not only complete engineering projects, we also need to be responsible for protecting the environment and life safety, and strictly abide by the law. As a researcher of our team, I think that our team leader have enough leadership. He can guide us very well in completing the project. We also must implement the ideas of promoting equality, diversity and inclusion.
In addition to reading the Ethical Principles issued. I also refer to the RAE/EC Ethical Principles and the guidance issued by the IET. I learned that we cannot do special tasks beyond our own capabilities. We only need to work on the projects we are good at.
