IR Circuit Mock-up
This is the initial build of the IR sensor circuit on breadboard. The purpose of this breadboard circuit is to present a proof of concept that the IR circuit is working before transferring onto the PCB.


First Assembly
Here is the first time our micromouse chassis was built. There is nothing connected at this stage, and no programs have been uploaded. Next steps will be in implement the PCB and run our first tests on object avoidance.
PCB Design
This is the most important step in designing our Micromouse. This PCB holds all the components relevant to sensing where the mouse is and sending signals to the microcontrollers.


PCB soldiering
We are currently soldering the PCB, making sure that each connection is robust and exact. It is all about minutiae, one joint at a time to bring the circuit to life and ensure that everything function correctly.
Touch bars
The touch bar is the simplest form of sensor present on the Micro-Mousei it features a spring loaded v4 microswitch. The touch bars are needed for obstacle avoidance as well as combat.


Prototyping our extra feature
This is an early look at the possible extra feature we may implement, using an LED matrix on the micro mouse. The LED matrix requires a digital pin from the Arduino for each column, making it very difficult to wire, which is definitely something to consider.
Oscilloscope Trace of the SeeSaw outputs
In order to ensure we are getting a voltage input from the light dependent resistor, we tested them using an oscilloscope to analyse their behaviour under different light environments. This ensures the sensors work as well as making it easier to code the white line following.


OLED Displacing LDR Values
The display we added is a 128×64 OLED using the IIC interface. Adding a display allows us to calibrate the white line following sensors, by showing the resistance values going to each LDR. We are also using it to display the current mode of the Micro-mouse.
