OCTOBER:

At the start of our project, after being assigned to a group together, the first thing we did was to decide what positions each of us wanted to take and how best to complement our range of skills. We filled out the team contract skills matrix with everyone’s assigned positions. I have been assigned to writing / editing the main software of our micro mouse with Karim, and to constructing the electronic hardware along with Abdulrhman and James. I also have been assigned the individual task of ensuring that all our data is analyzed correctly.

I am the first team manager for team Golf, which is going well since the team are all very organized. We have completed our IR sensor circuit, and I am very excited to join it to the wheels of our micro mouse so we can see it move and begin work on the obstacle avoidance. Continuing that, we then built the chassis of our micro mouse which took a little longer than we thought after we lost a screw.
