Since the middle of October, we have been working on the micro-mouse project, to design a robot capable of following directions, obstacle avoidance and combat. The cohort was separated into separate groups assigned to use by the lecturers according to our skill set. I have been assigned to team hotel, we first allocated team roles via the skills matrix, all members of the team were eager to help and apply themselves where they felt they could do their best work and contribute to the project. I personally stepped forward to manage the project which will be a challenge, aside from that I will also be responsible for hardware and software design, sensors and I will also be helping with the website. So far in the labs I have been solely working on creating a circuit for the infrared sensors for the micro mouse. It has been a challenge, but I have learnt a lot about the components needed and how to implement them into the micro mouse effectively. I am excited to see the continuous development of this project.
