There are many benefits of Diversity and inclusion in an engineering environment. In our group in particular I found that it brought different perspectives, expanded our talent pool, cultural enrichment and improved communication skills. overall I believe that diversification in an engineering environment is extremely positive as it can help you complete projects and products that are more reflective of the society that we represent.
