After meeting my teammates and becoming acquainted we quickly began discussing our goals for the project and outlining areas we each found most interesting about the project. Following this we created our project plan and team contract after taking careful consideration for each other’s areas of expertise and needs. Once the project plan was complete we got to work on the first task which was constructing the IR sensor circuit. I began analysing the diagrams given to us and constructing the circuit on our breadboard. In this process I would ask another team member to fault find anything I build as it is far more likely for a 3rd party to find mistakes than if I attempted to find them myself. During the construction of the IR sensor circuit we ran into a few issues with the sensors positioning as it needed to be in a clear line of site unobstructed by any other components while close enough to the LEDs in order to function correctly eventually however we successfully constructed an IR sensor circuit and verified its functionality with the oscilloscope. One thing that I would improve if I were to do this task again would be to take time to study the diagrams and plan the circuit more carefully before touching the breadboard rather than just trying to add each component with little regard for future components.
