Sustainability has been a key aspect we have thought about throughout the design and building process of our micromouse. One step we took to stay as sustainable as possible was when our pcb board had a broken connection on it, we soldered on a wire to reconnect it instead of just printing out a whole new board, this saves the material and components that would’ve been needed for the new board. Another way we have been sustainable is by making sure we cut our wires as short as possible, not only to save space in our micromouse but also to ensure that now wire was wasted and could be used for other purposes. Finally we chose not to design a shell for our micromouse, this decision will save money, power and materials that all would’ve been used to make it.
