We returned from the exam period with determination. While Peter worked on soldering individual components onto the IR sensor PCB, Ethan and Henry worked on running diagnostics on the micromouse’s wheel motors.
In an attempt to analyse why the micromouse seemed to drift to the left, Ethan setup a serial communication on the mouse’s control board, allowing the monitoring of variables via a connected PC.

Above, the tachometer feedback of the right wheel can be seen. The x-axis of the graph represents time and the y-axis represents the time period between full motor rotations. To simplify, the shorter the time period the faster the motor speed.
