Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) – Gang Chen

With the progress of society, equality, diversity, and inclusivity (EDI) have become indispensable agendas for various organizations. This is not only out of legal requirements, but also out of the pursuit of greater fairness and innovation. As a team, we deeply appreciate the benefits of working under the EDI framework, so we actively play our role in the team to achieve our common goals.

Firstly, EDI has made our team more inclusive. Our team members come from different countries and have different first languages. By respecting and appreciating the uniqueness of each team member, we have created a very friendly and inclusive environment. This inclusivity is not only reflected in our words and actions, but also in our decision-making and project implementation. Each of us actively expresses our own opinions and is not restricted. This inclusivity has inspired a wider range of thinking and creativity, and we have all done our best to use our skills to play a huge role in the team. As a result, our team achieved good results in the final competition.

Secondly, EDI promotes equality and fairness within the team. Our group fully recognizes that only when everyone has equal opportunities and resources can we maximize the potential of our team. Therefore, we have taken a series of measures, including establishing an average task allocation and providing mutual assistance, as well as ensuring the fairness of everyone’s results. This atmosphere has made our team members feel respected and valued, inspiring their enthusiasm and dedication to work. Therefore, each project in our group progressed smoothly and exceeded the experimental objectives.

Overall, EDI is not only a necessary requirement, but also a reflection of improving team values and culture. By promoting inclusivity, equality, and diversity, our team has gained more creativity, innovation, and adaptability, ultimately achieving considerable success in the micromouse competition. I believe that as we continue to push forward the EDI agenda, our team and the groups we will work with in the future will achieve even greater success.
