Ethical Principles – Hussain Dasmah

As an engineering student, I find that one of the most important ethical principles is integrity.  As it includes honesty, commitment, and not violating the rights of others, so that problems do not occur that hinder flexibility and cooperation among team members, and so as not to harm the results of the project or the reputation of the team itself.

Moreover, responsibility is something that all team members must realize in many aspects, including a sense of responsibility for their decisions, actions, and contributions.  Each member of the team must carry out his work seriously and professionally. Deadlines must also be met in order not to hinder progress in completing projects, as time is very important and must not be wasted.  Therefore, all of these falls under responsibility, and we should not be complacent or lethargic while engaging in engineering projects.

Working together as a team in engineering requires a dedication to justice and equity. To be fair, a team member must share the workload and credit equally in order to give every member an equal chance to contribute and advance their career. It also entails resolving disputes or conflicts in a fair and productive way, creating a welcoming environment for all team members and ensuring that everyone’s opinions are heard.

In conclusion, it is critical to discuss ethical concepts in a group setting when working on projects in order to improve respect, accountability, and integrity. Teams may maintain the integrity of their work, make a beneficial impact on society, and preserve the standing of the engineering profession by adhering to these standards.
