Cost Breakdown

We built this micro mouse using many devices and tools.

Component cost breakdown:

  1. Two touch bars
  2. Two motors
  3. Two wheels
  4. Several wires, approximately 4 meters long
  5. Eight LED lights
  6. Two plastic boards and one wooden board
  7. Several nails and nuts
  8. One micro servo
  9. One DFplayer mini
  10. One buzzer
  11. Six 100nF capacitors
  12. One 10nF capacitor
  13. One CD4093
  14. Three 1N4148
  15. Two 1M resistors
  16. Six 10k resistors
  17. Three 330 resistors
  18. One 47k resistor
  19. One 62k resistor
  20. Three LDR
  21. Four transistors
  22. Approximately 200 grams of 3D printed plastic
  23. One micro controller
  24. One battery

Roughly estimated to be around 122.4 pounds

Next is the estimation of indirect costs:

  1. The laboratory provides six hours of time per week, with two semesters added together and additional time, resulting in approximately 70 hours of time.
  2. During the construction process, we consulted many instructors and professors
  3. We used soldering tools, screwdrivers, wire cutters, laboratory computers, electric drills, and other tools.
  4. 3D printing of approximately 200 grams of plastic

Our estimated price is 1460 pounds

Total completion time:

As mentioned earlier, it took approximately 70 hours to develop Micro Mouse, plus the website development took approximately 80 hours.
