As stated in the RAE/EC Ethical Principles, moral principles have the following four basic principles. Honesty and integrity; Respect life, law, environment, and public interests; Accuracy and rigor; Leadership and communication.
I believe that as a student, accuracy and rigor are the most important factors. We should ensure the quality of learning during the learning process. Maintain the latest knowledge and skills. As an engineer, I personally believe that the most important thing is respect. Not causing damage to the environment and the safety of others is something that everyone should abide by.
In the Professional Ethics webpage, the article focuses on security and reputation issues. If there is a safety issue with a product, as an engineer, it is the responsibility to immediately make improvements and bear the risk of errors. Because it may seriously endanger the safety of others. And in the field of work, I believe that reputation and credibility are the best yardstick for measuring an individual and even a company.
Through this website, I have learned how moral principles are implemented in daily life. The results of the article investigation are not optimistic. But the performance of large companies is better than that of small companies, which may indicate that as development becomes more prosperous, ethical principles will become increasingly important.
